The Barbados Agricultural Society almost on a daily basis maintains some form of relationship with the various industries and sectors that make our economy. The society works closely with these sectors in a continuous effort to help develop and protect our agricultural industry.  The linkages often allow the relevant stakeholders to collectively develop strategies and solutions to the various issues that affect us at any given point in time.

Ministries

Mission: To provide leadership in the sustainable development of  Barbados’ tourism industry through the formulation of policy, the provision of timely and quality research; the development and maintenance of industry-wide standards and the facilitation of appropriate product development whilst ensuring maximum economic benefits to  Barbadians. The foreign policy of Barbados, managed by the Foreign Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, includes the establishment and preservation of harmonious relations with foreign governments; the promotion and enhancement of the economic and cultural interests of Barbadians; and the promotion of Barbados as a stable parliamentary democracy and an efficient place in which to do business. Affiliate Organisations

The Agricultural Development Fund provides loan financing from $50,000 to $1 million to help Barbados' farming and fishing communities become more competitive. The ADF also provides incentives, technical assistance and grants. Learn more

The Barbados Agricultural Management Co. Ltd principle activities are the management of sugar industry's assets which comprise sugar cane lands, sugar factories, sugar and molasses terminal, variety testing station and other related facilities.

BANGO is best described as a National Focal Point for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Barbados and an advocate for the participation of CSOs in the governance of the society. Learn more
